APPROACH

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington (LH 60985495) and the state of Vermont (068.0134170). I am grounded in a holistic framework, which means we will integrate thoughts, emotions and physical sensations in the moment. Our work will be less about talking about your life but instead actively stepping back into your experience and discovering something new.

I will offer you insight, feedback, and skills from a handful of approaches (including cognitive/behavioral, internal family systems, emotion-focused and mindfulness), but my main intention is to support you in having new experiences and helping you find your joy and purpose.

The body will be an important resource for the work we do together. When you consciously connect with your body and your physical sensations, you are provided direct access to the present moment. Together we will listen to your body’s language and build more precise and adaptive coping skills for tolerating stress, anxiety, and discomfort. Part of this work is inhabiting your desires and feeling more at home in your body.

Outside of my work as a therapist you will find me adventuring in the woods, dancing, doing yoga and taking pictures.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

My early training as a therapist was in a college-counseling center at the University of Vermont where I worked with clients struggling with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity related issues (2014). I spent three years as an outpatient clinician at an integrative care center, in Vermont, where I treated a wide range of mental health issues and co-led/facilitated eating disorder groups and programing (2015-2018). As an outpatient clinician in this setting, I participated in integrative care team meetings to develop holistic and innovative interventions often involving multiple providers and healing modalities. I then moved into private practice where I treated teens and adults and managed care for a caseload of over 25 clients (2018-2019). I am now a sole practitioner in private practice in Seattle, Washington.
